Senne La Mela is the new chief conductor

Last autumn, we began the search for a new musical director. We are pleased to announce that we have now found a new chief conductor in Senne La Mela. Following the trial conductings, he was selected by the orchestra from the final three candidates as the new chief conductor and will stand at our podium for the first time in October.

Senne La Mela is from Belgium and works as a solo trumpeter at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège. He also serves as a professor of trumpet and as a conductor with the Harmonie NordOstWind in Eastern Belgium. The Bläserphilharmonie Aachen looks forward to working with their new chief conductor and to the first concerts together, which will take place on the second Advent weekend in the Aula of RWTH Aachen.
