Running large rehearsal phases with a high-quality orchestra requires considerable organizational and financial effort. Expenses for sheet music, instruments, rental fees, and instructor honoraria are largely covered by ticket sales for our concerts. However, although the orchestra’s organization runs entirely on a voluntary basis and all musicians even have to pay a semi-annual rehearsal phase contribution, we regularly rely on public funding and private donations to manage our large concert projects.
